Arsenal's Premier League title hopes lost as they fall 11 points off league leaders Liverpool. The Gunners were held to a goalless draw by 4th place Nottingham Forest and were forced to drop two important points in their title charge.
The Gunners were obviously lacking firepower in their attack once again. The closest they had on goal was from Riccardo Calafiori, whose short connected the crossbar in the first half.
While Arsenal is having trouble dealing with injuries across their squad, as most of their attackers are out injured. Mikel Merino is currently the only option being utilized as a striker. The Gunners only managed 1 shot on target throughout the entire match.
As usual, Arsenal was dominant in possession but Nottingham Forest was ferocious in defending and was able to secure a point at their stadium.
Their players were disappointed not to have secured a win in the match. But Liverpool, on the other end, is running away with the title as they crush Newcastle with a victory and 3 points at Anfield.
Arsenal will try to close the gap and rely on luck to secure the Premier League title with just a few matches left to play in the run, as they expect their star players in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli to be back from injury next month.
